TUNNEL OF HOPE




Siege of Sarajevo caused a serious humanitarian crisis in the city. In 1993 Bosnian army decided to build a tunnel under the Sarajevo airport, which was controlled by the UN troops, in order to enable at least some kind of communication between Sarajevo and the rest of free Bosnian territory. After it was built, tunnel of hope was the only way in and out of Sarajevo for people, food, medical supplies and everything else. Join us on this tour and learn how the tunnel helped Sarajevo to survive the siege.
