TUNNEL OF HOPE
Siege of Sarajevo caused a serious humanitarian crisis in the city. In 1993 Bosnian army decided to build a tunnel under the Sarajevo airport, which was controlled by the UN troops, in order to enable at least some kind of communication between Sarajevo and the rest of free Bosnian territory.
