SKAKAVAC WATERFALL

Surrounded by beautiful and peaceful forrest, Skakavac stream jumps off the 98 m high cliff and creates the same named waterfall Skakavac. It is one of the highest warefalls on Balkans and the whole area is a protected nature park. If you join us on this hike you will see the waterfall from above and bellow, walk through very calming forrest and enjoy views on different peaks of mountain Ozren and the city of Sarajevo in the distance.

TRIP HIGHILGHTS AND DESCRIPTION

This trip starts with a half an hour drive from Sarajevo. Once we reach our starting point and start hiking we will be in a peaceful nature that is close, yet far enough from the city.

After 45 minutes of hiking we will have a picnic lunch on a beautiful meadow next to a little stream. This cute little stream changes its spirit 200 meters from our picnic spot and jumps off of the 98 meters high cliff creating the Skakavac waterfall, the highest waterfall in Bosnia.

When we are done with our picnic lundh we will hike to a viewpoint to see the waterfall from above, and then we will hike to its bottom to see it from bellow. After taking some photos and refreshing at the bottom of the waterfall we will hike back to our starting point and go back to Sarajevo.

- At least 1l of  fresh water per person

- Comfortable and safe shoes for hiking

- Proper  clothes, make sure you check the weather forecast

- Rain jacket regardless of weather forecast since weather can always change quickly in the mountains
